Our Mayor
Greg Zarus Mayor Greg Zarus was born in Philadelphia, and he came to Pine Lake because of his career pursuits in government as a scientist, an engineer, and an environmentalist. Pine Lake elected Greg first in 2002, then in 2003, and again in 2007. Mayor Zarus is an ambitious and industrious leader with an informal common sense manor. His current term ends 2012. Pine Lake’s 10th annual LAKEFEST! Date: October 2-3 Time: 10AM-Dark (Sat.) and 12PM-6PM (Sun.) Place: Lakeshore Drive, Pine Lake, GA 30072 Cost: Admission is free ART — Art and artcrafts on display/sale will include painting, felting, photography, handcrafted jewelry, handmade cards/stationary, and more. MUSIC — Live musical performances will include rock, European-gypsy jazz, electro-pop, international folk, and acoustic Americana genres. Pine Lake First Friday Concerts These are events that take place in the beachhouse on the first friday of every month. Music performance begins at 8. Architectural Review Board
Purpose of the ARB
The Architectural Review Board is charged with design review of new construction and of changes and additions to building in Pine Lake. The Board’s goals and purposes are to:
- Promote orderly and harmonious development of the city
- Enhance the desirability of residence or investment in the city;
- Encourage the attainment of the most desirable use of land and improvements;
- Enhance the desirabililty of living conditions upon the immediate site or in adjacent areas;
- Promote visual environments which are of high aesthetic quality and variety and which, at the same time, are considerate of each other.
