2009 Neighborhood Watch Plans
Our mission is to maintain and enhance a safe and secure Pine Lake and keep us ranked as one of the safest places to live in Georgia. We will continue this mission in 2009. The Pine Lake Neighborhood Watch Committee acts as a liaison to and communication channel between the citizens and the Pine Lake Police department and assists with the dissemination of important information via Chief Sarai Y’huda-Green. The neighborhood watch team will send out an alert to our neighbors, giving information regarding criminal and suspicious activities as they occur. We currently rely on e-mail and need to organize and implement the phone tree and better one-on-one contact, especially for our senior citizens. We will meet quarterly to discuss crime activities and plans for events to create a safer Pine Lake.
Our main goals for 2009 are:
- To finalize our street captain assignments and phone tree(s),
- Coordinate our street captains with senior citizens on their street,
- Help prepare Pine Lake for emergencies,
- Communicate more effectively with Pine Lake through E-mail, phone trees, and door-to-door contact.
